Несмотря на название, герои мультфильма "Маленькие Эйнштейны" - больше лирики, чем физики. Их интересует искусство, а не наука. Каждая серия знакомит детишек с мировыми шедеврами из области классической музыки и живописи.
Еще одно заблуждение связанное с названием мультфильма - ошибочно считать его продолжением серии Baby Einstein.
В начале каждой серии телезрителей знакомят с картиной и музыкальным фрагментом, которым будет посвящена данная серия. Затем герои отправляются на задание ( mission ) для того, чтобы решить определенную задачу или помочь попавшему в беду существу.
Обычно для выполнения задания требуется отправиться в дальнюю загранкомандировку, а иногда даже в космос или в океанские глубины.
